Bippus State Corporation held its Annual Shareholder Meeting on the evening of Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Huntington University. President, Ryan Warner, welcomed the 93 shareholders, board members, and employees in attendance and then followed with the invocation.

The shareholders also re-elected Kenny Rupley and Joe Wiley to each serve another three year term on the Board of Directors. Rupley joined the Board in 1994 and has held the position of Chairman since 2013. He and his wife are the owners of Rupley Farm Equipment. Wiley joined the Board of Directors in 2012. He is an attorney with Bowers Brewer Garrett & Wiley LLP.
David Geders, owner of Copper Chord Music, spoke about his journey of becoming a small business owner in Huntington and Bippus State Bank's role in helping him open his own business. Rick Pearl, Financial Consultant, spoke about the success he and his partner, Doug Shepler, have seen in BSB Investments, notably in the area of consulting. In addition to investment management, Rick and Doug are having many conversations with clients concerning long-term care planning, estate planning, and insurance services. David Cunningham, Chief Financial Officer, provided a PowerPoint presentation regarding the financial position of the bank. At the end of 2015, the bank had $142 million in assets. This is an increase from $122 million in 2014. He also showed a graphical comparison of Bippus State Bank and its peers, pointing out several areas where BSB is performing above other banks in the group. Ryan Warner introduced the BSB employees and Directors in attendance and applauded them for their active roles in the bank's success. He concluded the meeting by talking about the continuous battle regarding regulations put on community banks at the federal level; the recent and upcoming changes in Huntington's economy; and an update in the process of Bippus State Bank joining the Warren community in 2016.
Bippus State Bank was founded in 1911 and currently has four offices in Huntington, Roanoke, and North Manchester. Later this year, a fifth office will be opening in Warren.
