Debit Card / Credit Card Scam Email

Posted on Thursday, January 26, 2012

An email is circulating from a company called "eNFACT".  This email looks official.  However, this is a phishing attempt to get customers to click on a link and enter personal information.  The phone number on the email is a number to Fiserv.  This is a real company that works with fraud prevention.  However, it is not their email.

This email IS a scam and was not issued by BSB or our processor.  DO NOT CLICK ON ANY LINKS WITHIN THE EMAIL.

As a reminder, NEVER click on a link in an email unless you know who sent it to you and why they sent it to you.  Even emails from "trusted" sources could be "spoofed".  Just because the "from" section has the name of someone you trust, it may not really be from that person.  If you ever have a question about the content of an email, call the sender to see if they really sent it to you.
