AUGUST 5, 2021
Bippus State Bank was honored to be a part of Manchester Alive Summer Fest this year! After a year with no festivals, parades, or large gatherings, Summer Fest surely made up for lost time! It was a weekend full of events starting on Friday at 10am with the Little Bookshop at the Public Library, motorcycle show, and bicycle giveaway! The Eel River Cruisers Car Show started at 1pm accompanied by a kiddie train, trolley rides and a live band featuring The Strays.
The fun didn’t stop there -- Saturday morning the festival kicked off with a community breakfast, 5k and fun run. While some where running others where shopping at the farmers market or playing table tennis in the tournament that started at 8am! The 3v3 basketball tournament sure was a nail biter and a great display of talent from all ages. The Cutie King and Queen contest started at 11:30am where the contestants, ages 4-6, were judged on personality and poise. More fun continued for the kiddos with the Kidzapalooza Diaper Derby and Preschool Power Obstacle Course held at the Zion Lutheran Church lawn!
It wouldn’t be a festival in Indiana without a corn hole tournament that was held at The Moose Lodge. Manchester Civic Band serenaded us into the evening until the Summer Fest Parade that started at 5pm. There was a wonderful turn out for the parade, and we couldn’t be more thankful to our Bippus State Bank employees and their families who walked in the paraded and supported our community!
