We are thrilled to announce our sponsorship of the new Huntington High School multipurpose facility scoreboard! Bippus State Bank was approved Monday, June 28th, at the Board of School trustees Meeting.
The sponsorship agreement gives Bippus State Bank exclusive rights to the scoreboard for the next 10 years for a donation of $100,000.
“Being a community bank, one of our roles within the community is to financially support projects that we feel bring value to Huntington County,” said Bippus State Bank President and CEO Eric Fawcett. “Our success at Bippus State Bank is directly attributable to the citizens of Huntington County, and this donation is one way we can give back to our community. We are excited for all the young men and women that will be able to utilize this new facility.”
The scoreboard will feature the Bippus State Bank logo on both sides of the video screen. Fawcett is looking forward to the implications the new facility will have on the community.
“I believe when this project is finished, the citizens of Huntington County are going to see a multi-use facility that puts our high school on a level with other school corporations that surround us,” Fawcett said. “The school corporation will now be able to host events that they would not have been able to do in the past.
The scoreboard will be part of Huntington North High School’s new multi-purpose stadium that is currently under construction and will take the place of the current HNHS football field.
According to the HCCSC, a new softball field will be built, including bleachers for 400 fans, a press box, 60-foot dugouts, a batting cage and 8-foot fencing. This new softball field will be located near the intersection of Viking Lane and Ind 5. A new grass practice football field will be added between the stadium and new softball facility.
