Bippus State Corporation held its Annual Shareholder Meeting on the evening of Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at The Union on the Manchester College Campus. During the meeting David Brewer, Kenny Rupley, and Jon Knecht were each re-elected to serve on the Board of Directors. The board members then elected Mr. Brewer as the new Chairman of the Board. He has been a board member since 1977. Also, Chris Stephan, owner of C. Stephan Trucking, Inc of Roanoke, was newly elected to the Board of Directors. David Cunningham, Chief Financial Officer, provided a PowerPoint presentation showing financial results of Bippus State Corporation and Bippus State Bank. The bank and holding company experienced record earnings in 2009. Ryan Warner, President, discussed our current banking environment as well as the goals and potential challenges for Bippus State Corporation in the upcoming year. Retiring Chairman of the Board, Don Deemer, was recognized for his 35 years of service. A gift was presented to him and a resolution was passed in his honor. Dinner was served to the 100 shareholders and guests in attendance. Bippus State Corporation will be celebrating 100 years of service in 2011. Bippus State Bank has offices in Huntington, Roanoke, and North Manchester.
