Throughout the year, Bippus State Bank employees are given the opportunity to wear jeans to work on Fridays for a $2 donation to their jeans fund. This money is then used throughout the year to give back to those in the community whom are less fortunate. In August, BSB contributed $600 to LOVE INC's Back-to-School Fair, purchasing jeans and other clothing items. And, during the Christmas season, BSB adopts local families through LOVE INC with this money. This year, Bippus State Bank was able to give $980 to adopt and purchase meals for 5 families, and purchase and wrap gifts for the 16 children in these families. BSB employees volunteered their time to shop for and wrap these gifts. An additional $140 was used to purchase gifts for 6 children through The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program. Since the jeans fund began in 2006, BSB employees have donated over $9500 to these worthy causes. Being a community bank, Bippus State Bank is proud to be able to give back and support the community during this special time of year.
